Hello, my name is Ash Hong and I am a sophomore at MIT pursuing Computer Science and Engineering. My primary interests involve game development, 3D modeling, and website development. I have experience with Python, C, HTML/CSS and Assembly, as well as Blender and Adobe Premiere Pro. Some of my other accomplishments and activities are further listed below.
LISA Academy North
LISA Academy Solar Car: Competed in the 2019 national competition, serving as a student electrician involved in wiring the car and creating circuit diagrams. Further assisted the club by serving as a fundraising member, helping to raise over $2000 for competition living accomodations and food for the team.
The Arkansas School for Math, Science, and the Arts
Tabletop Club Co-President: Hosted school-wide board game nights to foster community and collaboration, assisted in matcing Game Masters with new and experienced players, and ordered tabletop supplies for community usage
Student Government Treasurer: Served as Treasurer for the 2021-2022 ASMSA Student Government, being responsible for the club and student government budget. Allocated appropriate funding for student club events, assigned officers to the Treasury Community, and kept diligent records of all purchases
ASMSA Student Ambassador: Represented the school at events involving school sponsors and alumni, to improve local community outreach and connections.
National Honor Society Treasurer: Served as Treasurer for the 2021-2022 National Honor Society, being responsible for accessing funding for associated events and opportunities
Science Olympiad Treasurer: Served as Treasurer for the 2021-2022 Science Olympiad team, following a similar responsibility as with National Honor Society
Game Development Club: Joined as a member for the Game Development Club to learn more about Unity and worked to create a simple, pill-collecting minigame
Drama Club Member: Served as the primary lighting designer for Drama Club from 2021-2022 and worked with the local Pocket Theatre to host plays and musicals
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
E33 Productions Member: Assist in lighting events all throughout MIT’s campus through programming cues and arranging light fixtures accordingly to lighting plans
