Country Kitchen

Ground floor by the vending machines, outside the TV lounge. Countertop bins for suites are available upon request.*

*Students will be responsible for emptying their suite food waste bin into the central location. Paper towels and cleaning spray will be provided at the bin emptying station so students can easily clean their bins after emptying them. If you would like to request a bin for your suite, please email the BC Sustainability Chair at bc-recycling@mit.edu

Entry Kitchens*

*House staff will be in charge of emptying all bins. Two students will monitor the bins outside of working hours (with a plan to eventually delegate one student to each entry). Food waste will be transported to existing food waste collection barrels in the alley between W61 and W70.

Random Hall has been collecting food waste throughout the building for three years, with a bin located in each kitchen.
