There are a few options for arriving to MIT, depending on where you are coming from.
The street address for MIT is 77 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, MA. However, due to the campus’ size it may be more convenient to head to an alternate address for check in.

Arrival via Airplane
Commercial flights into Boston arrive at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). From there, there are a couple of options for reaching MIT:
Public Transportation:
1. At BOS follow the Ground Transportation signs to Silver Line pickup locations.
2. Take the SL1 bus to the South Station stop.
3. Head towards the Red Line platform, heading Outbound towards Alewife.
4. Take any Outbound train to the Kendall/MIT Station.
Trips to MIT from BOS on public transportation take ~40-60 minutes.
Rideshare Apps/Taxi:
Rideshare apps (e.g. Uber, Lyft) and taxi services are also available at BOS. Car fares to the MIT campus range from $30-$50 depending on the time of day.
Trips via car take ~15-45 minutes, depending on the traffic (rush hours in Boston are typically from 8:00-10:00am and from 4:00-6:00 pm).
Arrival via Train
Passenger trains to Boston arrive at one of three train stations.
- South Station
- North Station
- Back Bay Station
From any of these stations it is possible to take public transportation or a road vehicle through a rideshare app to reach the MIT campus. If taking the subway, take connection trains to the Kendall/MIT station on the Red Line.
