In our month-long Design and Rapid Prototyping class, our team was tasked with designing a climate control system for a car passenger that optimizes protection against Covid transmission, passenger comfort, and seamless integration with the rest of the automobile. After iterating through 3 versions of our climate control system, our team presented a climate control system that met all performance requirements while maintaining a lower cost than the given baseline model and providing seamless integration with the rest of the car system. As a result, our team won the class competition (out of 6 teams) and was awarded the supplier contract.
