An Initiative to Establish a Nimble, Agile, and Network-Based Organization to Train Super AI/AGI to Address Civilizational Existential Challenges

Co-chairs: Ali Mostashari, PhD, and Jim Clark

Harnessing AI/AGI and Global Expertise to Tackle the World’s Most Pressing Challenges

In the 21st century, humanity confronts a complex web of interconnected challenges, including climate change, resource depletion, pandemics, economic inequality, governance failures, and the ethical use of advanced technologies. Addressing these challenges requires innovative, systemic solutions, rapid implementation, and global collaboration.

The AI for Humanity Initiative proposes a new model: a nimble, agile, and network-based organization that leverages the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and in the future Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) alongside the expertise of leading global minds. Our mission is to identify, design, and implement solutions to critical civilizational risks. We engage a diverse array of global stakeholders to ensure broad-based support, political feasibility, and effective implementation of proposed interventions.

Global Expert Survey for AI for Humanity (by invitation only)

To understand the full scale of potentials, needs, and challenges in creating this global resource, we are initiating an Accelerated Impact Process. This process convenes select experts and stakeholders worldwide to provide insights into making this initiative a reality.

Over 500 of the world’s relevant, leading authorities have been selected to participate in our initial AI for Humanity Global Expert Survey. If you have been invited by one of our organizers to participate in this survey, please express your acceptance of the invitation below. The survey will be sent to you sometime within the coming few weeks, and it will take less than 15 minutes of your time to complete. Results, along with a summary document, will be made available to all invitees. Additionally, invitees will have the option to continue as members of the initiative and connect with peers on this critical topic. Participation in the survey is a one-time commitment.
