The interdisciplinary nature of Dr. Ramazani’s research helps his team to achieve a comprehensive knowledge and research experience with multi-scale models ranging from electronic (quantum mechanical calculations) to atomistic (molecular dynamics) to meso– and macro– (finite element models) scales utilizing parallel computing resources. Capitalizing on his interdisciplinary research experiences, his research team aims to develop novel theoretical and computational approaches to tackle cutting–edge and large–scale problems. I will strive to provide innovative solutions in an ever-changing world. The following areas are the key research directions in his lab:
I. Materials informatics
II. Multi-scale computational materials design for band gap engineering
III. Integrated computational materials engineering (ICME) for materials design with building processstructure- property-performance relationships
IV. Computational nano–mechanics for electronics, optoelectronics, and energy applications
