Community Service Fellowships

The School of Science offers Community Service fellowships for graduate students. These fellowships provide financial support for one semester to recognize the extraordinary service contributions of graduate students in support of their community. Note that any graduate student enrolled in a doctoral degree program is eligible for these fellowships, regardless of their race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or any other personal identity.

Dean of Science Graduate Fellowships

In collaboration with the Vice Chancellor’s Office and the Office of Graduate Education, the School of Science offers the Dean of Science Fellowships. These three-year fellowships honor and recognize academic excellence among newly entering graduate students. These fellowships are aimed at recruiting excellent students from a wide variety of educational backgrounds.

School of Science Postdoctoral Fellowships

This highly competitive and prestigious three-year cohort based postdoctoral fellowship program, sponsored by the Dean of Science, seeks to recruit outstanding postdoctoral talent to the School of Science. The focus of this program is on cross-disciplinary research and innovation, with fellows having the freedom and flexibility to pursue the research that inspires their passion. This program is aimed at developing the next generation of scientific leaders. In addition to the scientific component of the program where fellows work with Principal Investigators (PIs) and others, there is an academic leadership module. Departmental Grants

Each department in our school is awarded grants annually by the Dean’s Office, to enable and support departmental programming and activities that promote community engagement and belonging.
