IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications Conference (PIMRC) in Valencia, Spain

Building on top of the analysis presented in Madrid at NetMob2023, Dr Andrea Pimpinella presented at the Smart City Session of PIMRC Conference an extended version of the analysis of the effects of Covid-19 pandemic of cellular users presence in Valtellina. In this contribution, structured as Regular Paper and co-authored by Dr. Carmelo Ignaccolo and Dr. Cristina Boniotti, the authors envision a framework capable of profiling urban settlements based on the interplay between their attractiveness (measured in their work using the number of cellular users connected to the network as a proxy of people presence in the area) and the characteristics of the built and natural environment. Waiting for publication in IEEE Xplore repository, here attached a non-camera-ready version of the paper. The conference took place between September 2-5, 2024.
