Bio

I initially went to school to be a professional photographer. But after spending years working in marketing planning photo, and video shoots, I realized that I didn’t want to spend my life trying to get people to buy more things. I wanted to make a difference in the world. I started to tell stories with my work while also looking to pivot my career. I released videos about women in sports, my favorites were Bev Ramos and Rocky Rodríguez. While telling a story about shoes made just by women, I started talking to head of the sustainability team, and realized that that was the path I wanted to be on. Then the pandemic hit.

While being furloughed during the pandemic, I worked to focus on pivoting my career. I first completed a certificate in Energy and Sustainability Management program. Once that was completed, I jumped straight into a master’s program in Sustainable Smart Cities, which I graduated from in April 2023. The programs have helped me realize that my drive is making wide-scale changes like enhancing renewable energy and equal access to wide-scale sustainable technology.

My time at MIT has helped me widen my view as to what I want to do with my career. I want to make the world a better, more sustainable place. At the MIT Sustainable Supply Chain Lab, we work directly with companies to help them evolve their sustainable efforts.
