MIT Sites Web Hosting Service
Welcome to MIT Sites, a platform where MIT faculty, staff and students can create department, research and personal websites. MIT Sites is powered by CampusPress using the WordPress framework.
Templates
We currently offer four flexible templates*:
DLC template
Showcase the work and people in your department, lab or center. This template includes initial pages to describe your organization’s mission, post news items, highlight upcoming events, and list academic publications.
CV template
Highlight your professional accomplishments. This template includes initial pages for describing the courses you teach and a blog section. It also comes with the Publications plugin enabled, so you can generate a searchable database of your published research.
Portfolio template
Showcase your academic interests and projects. This simple template includes pages to describe your projects.
Basic template
This bare-bones template features MIT branding on top of the Twenty Twenty-Four WordPress theme.
Student Group template
Share information about your student group. This template includes initial pages where you can describe your organization’s mission, showcase upcoming events, and share resources with the community.
*Only MIT student groups sponsored through formal channels (those that request and receive written approval to be sponsored by a department, laboratory, or center) or clubs recognized by the Association of Student Activities are authorized to use the MIT name and logo for club-related purposes.
