Hello all and welcome to my personal website!
My name is Kaleb Blake and I am a PhD candidate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a projected graduation date of Spring 2028. I received my Master’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from MIT in May 2024. I graduated from MIT with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering in May 2022. Currently in my research, I am automating a procedure for assisting patients with limited mobility to get up from lying down in bed. This involves developing a control scheme on the motion of elastic straps, which are comfortably wrapped around the patient, and developing an electro-mechanical system that can execute said control on the elastic straps. I am interested in controls, underactuated robotics, autonomy, and mechanical design.
