Brushless Motor

I developed a larger scale model of a brushless motor at MIT for a class project from 9/5/2018 – 10/11/2018.

I made electromagnets from wrapping copper wire around a bobbin. Then I designed a structure that would rotate and hold a set of magnets, and a plate that would hold the necessary electronics (hall effect sensor, microcontroller, etc.). I laser cut my designs, and assembled the motor and electronics. I then used an Arduino to program the each electromagnet will be turned on, causing the my laser cut piece holding the magnets to spin.

Sadly, I did not complete the project in the time allotted. The construction of the brushless motor was completed, however I did not finish the wiring and coding.
