Who are we?
The External Affairs Board is a committee of the MIT Graduate Student Council. We are current graduate students at MIT advocating for all graduate students at MIT and beyond.
What do we do?
We…
…work with all levels of government on initiatives that benefit graduate students, strengthen higher education, and advance research.
…travel to Washington D.C. multiple times a year to meet with government officials, relay positions of the GSC, and advocate for relevant legislation and initiatives.
…hold virtual meetings year-round, and work with state and local officials on a regular basis.
…coordinate relationships with other university graduate student organizations.
